When to use HA
A twenty-year old’s complexion is supple, firm and wrinkle free, but even at this tender age the percentage of Hyaluronic Acid in our skin begins to decrease. HA assists skin cell function in three ways: it smooths wrinkles, delivers essential nutrition to the skin cells and removes waste from the cells. HA needs to be replenished to maintain strong, supple, smooth skin.
Penetrating the skin
The skin has an acid mantle which is designed to keep bad things out. Skin pores are essentially secretion channels for sweat and sebum. So, you also have to consider if the skincare formula contains actives you want to penetrate the skin.
